The trail along the western edge of Palm Beach is 5 and a half miles long and runs from South Lake Drive, near Peruvian Avenue North, to its terminus just north of the famous Sailfish Club.
Although there are two interruptions where walkers must navigate sidewalks and an intersection, the trail is otherwise complete and well maintained. This route offers cyclists an intimate encounter with Palm Beach style, as well as a view that will keep them coming back again and again. It winds north along the water and provides an expansive view of West Palm Beach and the Lake Worth Lagoon. A stop at the Family Meat Market, a local institution located just one block from the trail, is a must for cyclists looking for a delicious lunch. Riverbend Park is another great spot for cyclists looking for less crowded trails.
It is the nerve center of Jeaga's wildlife, an initiative in Palm Beach and Martin counties to use protected land for outdoor recreation. The charming three-level cabin is located next to the Lake Trail and serves the Palm Beach community to hold functions and events. From Riverbend Park, cyclists can go to the Cypress Creek Natural Area, an area of more than 2,000 acres that straddles Indiantown Road. The Cross Seminole Trail is another great option for cyclists looking for a longer ride. It is a 27.6-mile paved bike trail that connects to Orange and Volusia Counties, providing access to a huge network of Central Florida bike trails.
Travel along a tree-lined corridor that crosses the Green Swamp along 49.2 miles of paved trail in an old railroad corridor optimized for a long trip through the heart of rural Central Florida. The view of the splendid ships there with the West Palm Beach skyline in the distance is a photo not to be missed on Instagram.
